About Severyn Brandau
Severyn Brandau serves at the Economic Development Coordinator for the Town of Sunnyvale and brings over 20 years of experience in public and private sector economic development.  Prior to assuming his duties at Sunnyvale, Severyn worked for the U.S International Trade Commission (USITC) and then moved on to manage development and recruitment programs for the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC). He continued these efforts in the private sector with Commerce International Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based business development and lobbying company as well as other private firms, including Fidelity Investments.

Drawing on his business development experience, Severyn then joined the UALR Institute for Economic Advancement (IEA) where he conducted and managed economic analysis programs for state, regional, and county authorities resulting in more effective economic development strategies.  He subsequently rejoined the private sector and become active in real estate development.

Severyn graduated from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and earned his Master’s Degree from the University of Arkansas.  He also completed the Certified Economic Developer Programs (CED) from the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute and the Kentucky Institute for Economic Development.

He is a member of the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC), The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
