About Mike Ross
Mike Ross is originally from Rochester, NY and moved to Rockwall with his wife and son in 2008.  Mike has a long history of Internet marketing going back to its infancy.  He got his start in the late 1990’s,  when he was an Account Executive with the Cobalt Group out of Seattle.  Cobalt Group develops web sites and online marketing tools for auto dealers nationwide and was the preferred vendor for General Motors, Chrysler, and several other manufacturers.  Mike was responsible for setting up, managing, and consulting over 200 auto dealers in NY on the best practices of web design,  Internet marketing, and lead conversion.

In 2001, he decided to stay more local,  and took on the position of Internet Sales Manager for the Vision Automotive Group in Rochester, a 5 store dealer who was just beginning it’s venture in to the Internet arena.  Within a year, he grew their website traffic by over 1000%, and increased sales from 0 verifiable sales to over 60 units each month.  With that foundation, Vision quickly became the undisputed leader in online sales throughout the area, with sales all across the state.

In 2004, Mike joined Culligan Water of Rochester, as their residential sales leader and developed their web presence and online marketing program.  They quickly rose to the top of the search engines where they remain today.

In 2005, Mike joined Yellowbook (now called Hibu) as an Account Executive selling Yellow Pages (yes, people still do use them) and online advertising and quickly rose through the ranks when in 2008, he took a promotion to District Sales Manager and relocated to Texas.  He has done extensive trainings with reps both in NY and here with his teams in Greenville, and Rockwall, coaching on both pay per click advertising, SEO best practices, web design, and general strategies on increasing web traffic.  As a 4-time President’s Club winner, he has consistently been at the top of the ranks nationwide.

In February of 2013, Mike decided it was time for him to venture off independently without corporate constraints, and started 91 Media.  This would allow him to serve his customers, who many of which expressed a desire to be able to deal with a local company with a more personal touch.  91 Media specializes in website design, search engine optimization, mobile websites, and mobile apps.  With his over 15 years experience in the Internet marketing industry, he has seen numerous changes to how all the different players interact. Through continuing education and research, his recommendations are always based on the latest in market trends, and he is Google and SEMPO (Search Engine Marketing Professionals Organization) certified.

His commitment is to treat your business as if it were his own. By taking a needs-based approach to determining your goals and objectives, he will structure an effective marketing plan to help grow your business.
